Marcia is in Sweden!!!

Our last visitor of the summer was my sister Marcia, otherwise known as Aunt Marcia.  Here is a picture of her arriving in Copenhagen.

She stayed for nine days and we crammed in lots of fun stuff!  One thing that made that easier was that Marcia was the only visitor we have had so far that had no jetlag.  NONE!  It was amazing! She used pressure points while she was traveling to help set her clock and it worked.  I also tried the same pressure points when I went to Washington D.C. and it worked for me too.  Now I am a believer!

Here we are on the pier in Malmo with the Turning Torso in the background.  Yes, we like to take people here and take pictures.

Look at the twins!

Marcia babysat the kids while we went to a wedding.  It was so fun and we danced late into the night!

The next day we went to Kivik to show Marcia around the apple orchards and take her to one of the prettiest beachs we know of in Sweden.

Annalise and Ray found a beautiful butterfly in the apple orchard gardens. They tried to catch it but could only get close enough to get a good picture of it.

Lucas loves apples!!

Annalise has been into posing for pictures lately.  It is a better stage than covering her face for pictures and refusing to be in pictures.
White sandy beach!

It was a beautiful day!
Sweden's beautiful countryside.
We found a train! Rhys, this picture is for you.

The girls riding in the car.  Annalise entertained us by singing 5 Little Monkeys and 5 Birds in Swedish.
Annalise liked riding the bus with her aunt.

Playing princess!

The Lund Cathedral on a sunny day.

The original university building from 1666. In the beginning everything was contained in this building, dorms, lecture halls, library, university offices.  Now there are 336 university buildings in Lund!
The White House in Lund.

The university library.
We went to Copenhagen so I could introduce Marcia to Trine, Morten, Rikke, and Signe. They were the most wonderful hosts as always!

What a great picture of a great family!
The next day Marcia and I walked around Copenhagen and did a little shopping.  It was so nice to have a shopping partner and not have two kids hanging on me! And Marcia is such great shopper I was lucky to have her expertise!

We also went to Tivoli to walk around and see the park.

We watched part of a slap stick kind of play in Danish.  It was silly!

This is a bracelet that Marcia's friend made her.
Here we are going back over the Oresund bridge to Sweden.  This is a very bad picture of a wind farm in the sound.  I will get a better picture at some point while we are here.
Lucas sitting by himself on the bus is just too cute!
Before Marcia left we spent some time at the Botanic Gardens in Lund.  Now we live about a five minute walk from the Botanic Gardens.  When we lived on Clayton we lived about a five minute walk from the Botanic Gardens in Denver.  Interesting...
There is a tree that the kids love to walk on.

Look at Lucas cold kicking it!

A few last pictures with Aunt Marcia.

This is a funny funny picture.  Ray wanted to send this out as our Christmas card this year as a joke. Don't Ray, Marcia and Annalise make a nice looking family!
I love this pond, there are lilly pads!

This is the beginning of fall.

Enjoying some fika at a cafe in Lund

This is Ray's bosses' house but is also a very famous house in Lund.  It is on the cover of books, on postcards, and it was the picture in the New York Times article about Lund. Basically a perfect place to have Marcia's last picture.  We love you Marcia and are so happy you came to visit!  We had a lot of fun!
