Our first hike in Sweden (Stenshuvud National Park) and Annalise walked the whole way up and down!

Our great friends Lars and Alejandra went on another fun trip together and they let us borrow thir car again- yea!!  This time I really wanted to go somewhere out in the wilderness and maybe go on a hike.  We loved hiking in Colorado and I have been missing the stillness of and quiet of hikes.  We found out from friends about a really great place to go where we can hike up a small mountain and go to the beach, Stenshuvud National Park and it was only an hour drive. Perfect.  This is what we saw during our drive, fields and fields and fields of rapeseed.  This picture does not do it justice; these fields were so beautiful.

Here we are at the bottom of the mountain, I actually think it would be better described as a hill.  It was still beautiful!

Look at all the different shades of green.  It was very lush and exactly what we had been missing.
This was halfway up and later we hiked down to that beach below.  Yet another time where the picture did not capture the beauty.  This view was breathtaking!

Here Annalise and I are on the top, it was so windy that Annalise had to hold on to me or she would have been blown over!

This is the bright blue beetle that Annalise and I watched for awhile when she needed a break.
This is what is left of the ancient fortress of Stenshuvud.

This was a momentous occasion for Annalise.  She did the entire hike by herself!  But I will let in on a little secret, she needed a little encouragement.  In fact I used her love of being first to make it happen.  We stayed ahead of Ray most of the time.  If Ray got close than I told Annalise to ask Ray to, "take a picture of the beautiful view." This worked awesome!  Annalise thought she was tricking Ray and she was having so much fun! "Daddy, take a picture of the butiful view."

Lucas slept through most of the hike in the ergo but he woke up when we got to the bottom!
Here we are at the beach that we had seen during our hike.  It was cold but the kids were all bundled up and loved playing in the sand.

And we had a little fika on the beach- yum!

 I love my family!
Annalise trying to skip stones and Ray teaching her.
 More rapeseed, so beautiful!!

There are these cute churches all over the countryside and Ray and I kept stopping the car to take pictures.  It was really fun!

This sign means reduce your speed but Ray just likes any sign with "fart" on it!
