We are part of a group called LUFF (Lund University Foreign Friends) and they have lots of fun events but we have never been able to attend one. But while my parents were visiting LUFF hosted a Lund ghost tour and so we went and it was really great! We learned more history about Lund and heard some great stories. The kids did great and so we were able to hear about most of the tour.
This is the first university building. And in the corner is Annalise who collected rocks and put them in the stroller throughout the walking tour. Self amusement is a wonderful thing!
This the tree in the city square decorated with easter eggs.
After the tour we went out for dinner at one of our favorite cafes, Cafe Ariman. Annalise liked to play with Grandma's glasses.
Here Lucas is at Kulan. It was a special day where the teachers put on a concert and played 20 different instruments! They are very talented!
This is the clock in Domkrykan. I think I could do an entire post about the intricacy of this clock but first I want to learn more about it. Stay tuned.
Here Lucas is in the crypt of the church with his friend E.
My friend Olof used to work at Domkrykan and he gave us a wonderful guided tour. Thanks Olof, my parents and I loved to hear about the churches history.
Happy Easter! My sister bought Annalise an Easter dress when she was just 2 months old and she has bought her a beautiful dress every year since. Thanks for the Easter dress aunt Lisa!
Lucas looking cute in his snowsuit (it was very cold!) and a hat that is too small but Annalise really wanted him to wear it for some reason.
His first Easter egg hunt. We went to the park near our house to do the hunt and ran into our friend A. She loved helping Annalise find the eggs.
We went to Kulturen a few days before my parents left and I am always surprised by all the neat things at that museum. This is a picture of a very fancy clock from the middle ages.
This is a maypole in one of the children's rooms.
Kulturen is an open air museum where there are houses from different parts of Sweden and from different time periods. Literally entire houses were moved into this museum to preserve the history- how cool is that?
This is one of my favorite churches in Lund.
Here is the outside.
This is Annalise at her friend A's house. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and Annalise loved playing dress up.
We enjoyed my parent's visit so much! It was so nice to spend time with them and have the chance to show off our little piece of Sweden. Love you guys so much and thanks for being our first visitors! Sorry it was a little cold (who am I kidding, a lot cold!) but you get first dibs on summer next year!
