Annalise turned four on January 8, 2012. We had a wonderful day together as a family. And then the lucky girl got to have two birthday parties! Here she is showing off her beautiful smile.
Annalise wanted to have a a party with her class and so we decided to invite 14 four and five year old little kids to our small apartment for a small party (only 8 could make it). We only had one problem, how were we going to communicate with these adorable children. After we had secured a translator (okay it was one of the Swedish moms) we were pretty set. We order pizza from our neighborhood pizza place and somehow end with pizza without cheese- weird!
The kids sang Annalise happy birthday in both English and Swedish!
Here Annalise is enjoying more candy than she has ever eaten in her whole life!
A few weeks later we had another birthday party- this was was a joint celebration for both Lucas and Annalise. We invited four families that we have grown close to in our short time in Sweden and had a wonderful time. Here Annalise is with her good friend Aislinn making noodle necklaces
Lucas with Sadie.

Annalise got all dressed up in her new princess dress and clicky clack shoes!
Our wonderful friends! Aislinn, Alfie, Axel, Sadie, Annalise, Ellie, and Lucas.
Two birthday children = Two cakes!
Annalise gets to blow out 4 candles!
Lucas needs a little help form his friend Alfie.
Lucas loves the carrot cake I made for him! I put the piece on his high chair tray and he just grabbed it and put it in his mouth!

We are so blessed!
On January 31, 2012 our little man Lucas turned one year old. Lucas you have been such a wonderful addition to our family and we love you so much.
Lucas' big present was a play stove and oven so he can start cooking- he loved it and so did his big sister. I love thrift stores in Sweden!
These kids are growing up fast!
